Eight years after their double-platinum album, Home Again, New Edition signed with Bad Boy to release this album, One Love. NE fans were obviously excited that they reassembled (sans Bobby Brown) to drop this record, but this record was set to cater to an audience of children old enough to be NE's children. Unlike Janet, New Edition was able to keep Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to produce a few songs on this album. For the most part, the album was decent. The group has since left Bad Boy (like Faith Evans, 112, Total, Shyne, Ma$e...damn near the whole label roster) and are gearing up to release their 8th studio album - this time with Bobby.

After the solo album success started to taper off, the members of New Edition decided to reunite and release what would become their best-selling album album to date. Enter Home Again, the group's first album since 1990's Heart Break album as well as the first album to feature new content with Bobby Brown and Johnny Gill.
