A very nice album of smooth electric funk from Freddie -- and one that sort of sits between Miles' Big Fun material, and Donald Byrd's work with Larry Mizell. George Cables helps Freddie with the arrangements, and plays some very nice electric piano and keyboards on the album -- making for a smooth, tight, and nicely spacey batch of 70s soul jazz that proves that not every move to a major label was a bad one. Titles include "Kuntu", "Put It In The Pocket", "Liquid Love", and a version of "Midnight At The Oasis".

featuring George Cables, Carl Burnett, Carl Randall Jr., Ray Parker, Henry Franklin, Chuck Rainey, Al Hall, Ian Underwood, Spider Webb, Myuto Correa and - last but not least - Johnny Guitar Watson.
