Mother's Finest -Mother's Finest [1976]
This is a superb CD by a band that made the crossover rock scene long before In Living Colour. This is a true must have if you are a collector and wish to maintain a traceable path from the past to what is now contemprary funk-rock bands.Collectors, must have this one..

Mother's Finest - Live [1979]
Mother's Finest continues to this day to funk our world. This 1979 live funk rocker was lights-out-dead on. It almost gives you a feel for seeing the band live! Joyce, Moses, Glenn, BB, and Wizzard all here for you to hear. These guys/lady are not a copy band...NO! They do take a few covers and make them their "own". From the roaring intro of "Somebody to Love" to "Don't Wanna Come Back", this is it. If as one reviewer states, Mother's Finest "is not famous", it is not their fault. Like everything else in the radio landscape of 1979-1980, there wasn't a real place for them on the radio. A hard core legion of fans found the band anyway!

Mother's Finest-Iron Age [1981]
Anyone familiar with Mother's Finest will know how talented this group was during their hey day from the mid 70' to the early 80's anyone just discovering them will find this dic full of intense songwriting and jammin' musicianship throught. This record was a departure from their 'Mother Factor' record for Epic when the label it seemed attempted to convert the group into this Epic's version of Chaka Khan & Rufus, with Joyce "Baby Jean" Kennedy (who would later record a top #10 hit with Jeffrey Osbourne during the early 80's)leadind the way on a hit single "Love Changes" from that album that actually gained alot of play on urban radio in 79'/80. It must had been to some of those fans suprised that when this record debuted in 81' it was all raw hard rock with extreme melodic guitar solo alongside thrashing drums and pulsating Bass lines all sparked from the vocal wails of Baby Jean Kennedy and guitarist Glen Murdock on some tracks. Their stay at Atlantic was brief but it was long enough for them to produce this fiery record,10 tracks of full power 1981 style and still electifies like it was pumped out in some sweat shop last week. If you want to jam..check it out.
